Hong Kong UNESCO Global Geopark was inaugurated in November 2009 located on the eastern and northeastern New Territories. UNESCO listed the park as a geopark and part of its Global Geoparks Network on 18 September 2011, today the park consists of two geological areas- the Sai Kung Volcanic Rock Region that features volcanic rocks with prismatic columnar joints of international geological significance. The other is the Northeast New Territories Sedimentary Rock Region that consists of sedimentary rocks formed during the geological period.

The Hong Kong Museum

The Hong Kong Space Museum is a space science museum and astronomy in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong. This museum was opened in 1980 and is currently managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department of the Hong Kong Government. The museum is reputed for its hemispherical shape, a planetarium that showcases about the Solar System, spaceflight, and cosmology.
